FOCUS: The Foundation for Our Communities Undeniable Success is an LLC birthed from the love of community and the desire to see black and brown people reconnect to commUNITY with an understanding of the positive impact we can have on one another!
OUR VISION
Our organization works to dismantle the stereotypes of African-Americans by reducing the growing rate of poverty by 10 percent, ultimately restoring, revitalizing, and redefining the African-American family and community.

Miyokee Saint Florant is a passionate advocate for empowerment and community wholeness. Miyokee’s journey is one of transformation, from overcoming personal adversity to dedicating her life to making a difference in the lives of others. Miyokee’s dedication to empowering individuals and uplifting communities makes her a true agent of positive change.

With a solid educational background, including a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration degree from Seton Hall University, she combines her formal education with her lifelong commitment to serving and educating underrepresented youth. As an educator, mentor, and administration professional, she has seen the positive impact of a personal commitment to helping individuals realize their untapped potential.
As the Founder and CEO of FOCUS (The Foundation for Our Communities Undeniable Success), Miyokee is dedicated to dismantling stereotypes about African Americans and revitalizing the African-American family and community. FOCUS strives to create access to resources, offer exposure to new experiences, and cultivate opportunities for individual and communal success. Miyokee serves as a consultant and grant writer for community organizations, helping to acquire over one million dollars worth of funding and writing programming to launch initiatives for youth in Newark, East Orange, and New York City.

Miyokee’s impact extends beyond FOCUS. She is the Senior Program Coordinator for the Office of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access at Rutgers Business School Newark and New Brunswick. She has over ten years of experience in the high school and college education sector and is certified in Youth Mental Health.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Miyokee is a loving mother to two beautiful little girls, who serve as a constant source of inspiration for her mission of empowerment and community transformation.
